Bring a pot of water to boil.
Meanwhile, break a few broccoli florets and wash them in cold water. Cute a few slices of carrot.
Add the veggies into the boiled water and cook, uncovered, until tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Do not over cook the broccoli. Take the boiled broccoli florets out into a plate and let them cool.
Carrot may take extra few minutes until tender. When they are tender, take them into a plate and let them cool. Peel the skin off.
